The 2021 INDY MOVEMENT Top 50

So a handful of years ago we started something called THE INDY MOVEMENT Top 50. And over the last couple years we have neglected to do it do to not enough help, bad planning and no resources but this year we came back hard. We have a team, we've partnered up with pages and brands and we started earlier to make sure this Top 50 was accurate, diverse and informal. Maybe you will find some new wrestlers that will later become your new faves, maybe we'll remind you of some great talents you haven't heard in a while, who knows? All we know is we worked hard to showcase many wrestlers in this article and constantly updated the standings and then took the Top 50 names from the ever growing list at the end of the year. has been killing it on the independent scene as well as with NJPW Strong and ROH. Whether Singles competitor or Tag competitor, 2021 was very good to Dickinson. Currently holding the UWN championship and even holding Notable wins over Jacob Fatu, 2 Cold Scorpio and Bryan Keith.

4. ( 10 - 5 ) Alex Shelley

After taking a hiatus from Impact wrestling at beginning of the pandemic, Alex Shelly has made his return to pro wrestling. Shelly has had one hell of a return this year defeating Wheeler Yuta for the IWTV title and putting on classics ever since. In 2021 he had big wins over the likes of Daniel Makabe, Wheeler Yuta, Jonathan Gresham and John Wayne Murdoch.

3. ( 28 - 29 ) Daniel Garcia

The beginning of 2021 belonged to Daniel Garcia. So many big matches, opportunities and milestones this year. He even got a job with AEW where he can still kill it on the indies. Garcia had great matches against Anthony Greene, Lee Moriarty, JD Drake & Christian Casanova

2. ( 26 - 10 ) Alexander Hammerstone

had one hell of a time over the last few years and in 2021 its been no different. Currently the GSW, FSW and MLW World champion as well as AAW tag champion with Ace Perry. Great matches all over against the likes of Jacob Fatu, Brian Cage and Jake Something

1. ( 77 - 40 ) John Wayne Murdoch

has had one hell of a year holding so much gold throughout 2021. IWA World & Tag team titles, PPW & Unsanctioned tag titles, ICW & Horror Slam deathmatch championships all within 1 year. Also went to war with names like Sadika, Ludark Shaitan, Kongo Kong and Eric Ryan
