10 Albums That You Should Not Have Slept On In 2020
It's a weird time in the music industry with no shows, But artists all over the world abdn all across the music genre spectrum have been dropping quality content all year so we want to take a look back at 10 albums that do not deserve to be slept on.
LLLEETTTTSSS GOO BOYYYYYYY!
10. Circus Trees "Delusions"

These girls put out a hell of a 6 track album mixing a little post rock and Lo-fi sounds reminiscent of Empire Empire with calm vocals throughout yet getting loud with emotion at just the right time. Circus Trees gives you just as much with these 6 songs as some bands give you with twice the amount. They are a great rock band from the New England scene that if you haven't heard of them yet , they will soon be on your "most listened to" on spotify.
9. WAKE "Devouring Ruin"

I'm not into grindcore or noise as much as I used to be years ago but this album alone reignited a flame and got a foot back in the door. Adding melodic elements throughout it this album was heavy as balls and well done without straying too far from the grind sound.
8. Concrete "Free Us From Existence"

This makes the list simply because it's heavy as fuck, a couple glitch effects throughout the album but as heavy as this release was, and its probably the heaviest of this list, this album sounds like it was recorded on a Window 98 Sound Recorder program. Which is what I can't rank it any higher.
7. New Found Glory "Forever and Ever x Infinity"

As many have from the early 2000s have disappeared, changed into the same old commercialed poppy sounding bullshit, NFG is still pumping out upbeat energetic slappers and sound just as good as they did years ago. I was very surprised with this album and suggest it to anyone wanting v some happy vibes.
6. Matt Watson "Ouch!"

"Ouch!" By Matt of SuperMega Is the opitome of Lo-fi hiphop. A real insight into the actual personality of "funny people". Real emotions over the 'made in the bedroom' sound of "Ouch!" really take you on a relatable and emotional journey.
5. Various Artists " Safe & Sound Compilation"

Featuring re-imagined versions of songs by Equal Vision Records bands like Kaonashi, Saves The Day, Armor For Sleep, and many more, "Safe & Sound: An Isolation Compilation" is the perfect way to wind down during the harder days of this ongoing pandemic
4. AJJ "Good Luck Everybody"

Probably their most folk sounding album but this album is on point with the theme. These men must be psychic for making a while album about an apocalypse that was coming and put it out 2 months before the world shut down fire a pandemic. 3 straight up bangers on this album and the rest is a solid B-. Not their strongest release but super good.
3. Nick Grant "God Bless The Child"

Nick puts out one of the most real hip-hop releases i've heard in quite some time. The stories of his family and growing up in the projects combined with clever word play every other line. This was insanely good from start to finish. It's criminal how slept on Nick is. Deff a hidden gem.
2. Tobe Nwigwe "CincoOriginals"

Tobe is a master at his craft. The crew that he surrounds himself with to make these songs are a perfect complement to his style. Features from EARTHGANG, Duckwrth, Lil Keke, Royce Da 5' 9 and Black Thought make it different on every track and beat producer Nell always kills it. From what I can there was no swearing on Tobe's part this entire album and yet it went just as hard as any angry trap banger. Hip hop fans need to give this one a visit.

AND NUMBER ONE IS......

1. The Wise Man's Fear "Valley Of Kings"

This album was on repeat for me for like a solid month after it came out. Reminiscent of We Came As Romans with a slight whimsical twist at ties. This could have easily snagged top 5 with the flute breakdown alone but the themes of the songs combined with the heaviness and carvings of other songs are what made this number 1 for 2020. Yall need to listen to this one.
